Janakpurdham, March 24
Police in Mahottari district of Province 2 have confiscated 48 motorcycles and scooters in the district after finding they running on the road defying the government’s order for lockdown.
Shyam Krishna Adhikari, the chief of the District Police Office, says his office confiscated 32 and other subordinate bodies 16 today. A few of them are registered in India.
Adhikari says the confiscated bikes have been kept at the DPO now.
Meanwhile, the police have appealed to the public to cooperate with the government regarding the implementation of lockdown, saying it was meant for protecting the public from coronavirus infection.
