Mahara says Deuba’s India visit date will be decided soon

Kathmandu, July 5

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Krishna Bahadur Mahara says Nepal and India are holding discussions to decide a date for Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s visit to the southern neighbour.

Briefing the Parliament meeting about his recent India visit on Wednesday, Mahara said embassies of two nations were holding discussions to make the decision soon.

He also informed that officials of two nations discussed moving various development cooperation projects ahead during his recent visit.

In another context, the Foreign Minister assured that demonitised Indian banknotes possessed by Nepali citizens and companies would be exchanged soon.

Other topics of the discussion included issuance of security permits to Nepali liquefied petroleum gas bullets and a BIMSTEC meeting to be held here, he informed.
