Madhav Nepal says no party can fight against NCP

Madhav Kumar Nepal

Kathmandu, July 25

Senior leader of the ruling Nepal Communist Party and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal says there is not any party in the country that is capable of fighting against his party.

Nepal claims only the NCP can make the dream of prosperous Nepal come true.

Speaking at a function organised on the occasion of NCP founder Nara Bahadur Karmacharya’s sixth death anniversary in Kathmandu on Thursday, Nepal appealed to all leaders and cadres of his party to fulfill responsibilities efficiently.

He hoped that the unified communist forces of the country would not split again. “The unification was not possible overnight. Therefore, if some claims that it will not last, that will not be true,” he said, “The unification was possible after understanding each other for a long time. It is as strong as iron. It will not split again.”

The former prime minister added that the present government should work hard to eliminate problems related to poverty, lack of education and discrimination to meet people’s expectations.
