Local govt officials, employees to get Covid-19 vaccines next week

Kathmandu, February 11

The government has decided to vaccinate elected local government officials and all government employees against Covid-19 next week.

The Ministry of Health and Population says government staff, bankers, public utility workers, journalists and local elected people’s representatives will get vaccines in the designated vaccination centres in the respectively districts from Sunday to Friday next week.

Frontline health workers, ambulance drivers, and security personnel who missed out in the first phase of vaccination earlier will also get a chance.

After vaccinating the frontline health workers, sanitation workers and security personnel in the first phase, the government is currently distributing the vaccines among journalists and diplomatic agency staff in Kathmandu.
