Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said on Monday he is ready to move ahead by addressing demands of disgruntled parties. He said parties have no option but to work together and rid the country of the crises.

PM Prachanda, speaking at a programme that Nepal Academy of Science and Technology had organised, called all parties to focus on elections.

He said: It is common knowledge that we have registered a Constituent Amendment proposal in the Parliament. The proposal is under discussion.

PM Prachanda said: Let’s address demands of disgruntled and agitating parties to the extent possible. And let’s start preparations for elections.

He claimed that his government had brought forth the proposal in a bid to give the country a way out. Prachanda expressed confidence that parties will reach what he called a ‘political understanding’.

For political stability and economic prosperity, all Nepalis should come together, he said.

Ensuring political stability and orienting the country towards economic prosperity is the biggest challenge and responsibility too, he said, adding: All Nepalis should join hands for this.

PM said his government is committed to increasing investment in the field of science and technology.
