Janakpur, May 21
Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav has proposed that the Madheshi Morcha, an alliance of Madhesh-centric parties, field common candidates in the second phase of local level elections scheduled for June 14.
He was of the view that the Morcha should be unified to secure rights of Madheshi people.
Speaking with journalists in Janakpur today, Yadav said the Madheshi parties should contest the polls together also to defeat anti-Madheshi forces in the elections.
Otherwise, demands of the parties would not be met, he warned, adding the Madhesh-centric political forces should actively participate in the polls to institutionalise achievements of their struggle.
