Kathmandu, April 7
A two-year-old infant has died after being hit by a car in Lubhu on the eastern outskirts of Lalitpur in the Kathmandu valley on Wednesday.
The victim has been identified as Aryan Puri, whose parents from the Ramechhap district would currently reside in Lubhu.
The child was hit by the two-wheeler (Ba 16 Cha 3687) at around 5:30 pm yesterday. Critically injured, he was rushed to the KIST Medical College in Imadol, where he died during treatment at around 6:15 pm.
Police say the Metropolitan Police Circle in Satdobato of Lalitpur has arrested the car driver and further investigation is underway.
