Kathmandu, May 29
Suman Kulung has won the 2019 Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon, completing the 60 km race in three hours and 47 minutes.
The Marathon celebrates the historical ascent of Mt Everest by Late Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary on May 29, 1953.
Over 200 national and international runners participated in the race including British Ambassador to Nepal Richard Morris.
The 2019 edition is the 17th edition of this event which is divided into three categories: 60 km, 42 km and 21 km.
Kapil Dev Budha and Ram Kumar Raj Bhandari finished second and third respectively. The winners were handed over certificates by Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri.
