Korean ambassador donates hygiene kits to Chitwan flood victims

Kathmandu, September 11

South Korean Ambassador to Nepal Young-sik Park on Monday donated 9,000 hygienic kits and first aid kits to flood-affected families of Ratnanagar Municipality of Chitwan district.

The ambassador handed over the kits to mayor of the Municipality, Narayan Ban, at a function in Chitwan today.

The Korean government spent USD 200,000 for preparing 9,000 hygiene kits and first aid kits, according to a statement issued by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

A kit contains basic first aid medicines, stuffs for hygiene to prevent diseases and a mosquito net.

“It is believed that the support is useful for the affected families who have difficulties in accessing proper health care services.”
