Kathmandu, August 7
Chief district officers of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur have decided to tighten restrictions on human movement in the valley in the wake of increasing Covid-19 cases in the capital.
Accordingly, they have decided to seal off places whereas active multiple Covid-19 cases are found. “In the first phase, we are sealing off Teku and Mahabauddha areas of Kathmandu,” Kathmandu CDO Janak Raj Dahal says.
Earlier, CDOs of the districts held a meeting to devise their next strategy. The meeting also decided to check the status of implementation of safety measures at shopping malls and business complexes, according to them.
Meanwhile, the CDOs decided to convert existing quarantine centres into isolation centres as the number of cases is increasing in the valley.
