Kaski transport entrepreneurs ‘disappear’ after Home Ministry orders arrest

Public transport entrepreneurs in Kaski district who were in the favour of ‘syndicate’ system have suddenly disappeared after the Home Minister directed police to arrest them.

This comes as police on Friday afternoon arrested high-level representatives of the pro-syndicate committees in other. According to Assistant Chief District Officer of Kaski Ganga Chhetri, all transport entrepreneurs have gone incommunicado.

Meanwhile, passengers have been left stranded on the road due to a strike imposed by the entrepreneurs.

CDO Taranath Adhikari said that he has already directed the concerned authorities to arrest them and file a case against them for halting essential service.
