Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Bahadur Karki of Nepal Police has met Megan Boldin, the US acting ambassador to Nepal. The two met at Police Headquarters on Friday.
At the meeting, Ambassador Boldin expressed gratitude for the police’s contribution to the search, rescue and identification of American citizens and other victims who went missing in the Rasuwa flood, Police Headquarters said.
Ambassador Boldin also reiterated the US commitment to support disaster-affected communities. She also informed IGP Karki about the provision of disaster response equipment, technical support for identifying disaster victims, and rapid DNA testing supplies, Police Headquarters said.
