Two Chinese nationals held in possession of ‘illegal’ statues from TIA

Kathmandu, November 19

Police arrested two Chinese nationals in possession of ‘illegal’ statues from the Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu.

Police said 10 idols were confiscated from them during the whole baggage checking at the only international airport of the country.

The statues were hidden in their bags.

It has been suspected that they were smuggling the valuables to China.

The duo was about to board a China Eastern Airlines flight for Kunming of China.

Police say they are further investigating into the case.
