Indian television Aaj Tak said Indian security personnel released Kedia from captivity after raiding a hideout from where they also arrested one of the abductors with arms and vehicles used in the kidnapping.

Motihari Police is organising a press conference shortly to inform about the operation. A Nepal Police team has headed for Motihari to bring Kedia home.

An armed gang had attacked and injured Kedia’s driver at a forest in Nijgadh on Thursday, while the industrialist was returning home from his factory. The gang had abducted Kedia and taken him to India.
