Kathmandu, September 29

Thirteen bodies have been recovered from the Jhyaple Khola landslide site. Among the recovered bodies, 10 are men and 3 are women.

Police suspect that the victims could be passengers from a bus that went missing en route from Gorkha to Kathmandu. The bus was discovered buried during the landslide clearance operation at Jhyaple Khola. Efforts are currently underway to extract the bus, and the bodies were found during this process. As only half of the bus is visible, its registration number has not yet been identified.

Teams from the Armed Police Force, Nepal Army, and Nepal Police are engaged in the rescue operation.

Yesterday, two other buses were found buried in the same Jhyaple Khola area, from which 14 bodies were recovered.
