Jhapa, February 24
Police in the Jhapa district of eastern Nepal has arrested a man for raping a minor.
Ashok Baraili (39), a resident of the Kankai municipality-8 of the Jhapa district, was arrested by a team of the Anarmani Area Police Post on Thursday evening for allegedly committing a crime in his neighbourhood recently.
The police say he has been accused of sexual assault against the 15-year-old girl repeatedly since mid-January.
Further investigation is underway.
