Jhapa, September 5
An autorickshaw driver has been found dead in Birtamod of the Jhapa district on Sunday. Police have suspected it could be murder.
Bhatru Rajbanshi (50) of Kachankawal rural municipality-3 of the district, was found dead in Birtamod municipality-4, according to police. District Police Office spokesperson Rakesh Thapa says the body has several scars and injuries on the head and the face, adding it must be a murder case.
The deceased’s son Dev Narayan (15) has claimed Bhatru’s younger brother Ratan Lal (38) killed him inside a rented room.
Ratan Lal is on the run and police have launched a manhunt. Further investigation is underway.
