Kathmandu, May 24
A Covid-19 patient has reportedly run away from the Provincial Hospital in Janakpurdham on Sunday morning.
After the 40-year-old patient ran away, locals in the area have been terrorised fearing he could spread the infection.
Sources in the hospital say the man also suffers from mental retardation, and he had tried to run away from the isolation ward time and again in the past few days. He had broken the ward’s CCTV camera yesterday.
DIG Dhiraj Pratap Singh, the chief of the Province 2 Police Office, says a search is underway.
