Itel A49 comes with a glass front and a plastic body build. The phone has what Itel calls a pearl shell design, which reflects a textured finish when exposed to the sunlight. The back panel of the phone also includes a pill-shaped camera panel, housing camera sensors and an LED flash. The back panel also houses a fingerprint scanner for biometrics. Itel branding on the bottom left looks good and neat. The phone has curved sides with round corners, which is a basic design.

The phone has a thickness of 9.60 mm whereas the weight has not been disclosed. It is available in black, purple and green colour variants. Furthermore, to ensure the durability of the phone, Itel has marketed that the phone has:

  • Resistance to ordinary drops
  • Dust and moisture-proof
  • Safe use at extreme temperature
  • Stable internal and external structure
