New chiefs of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force on Thursday morning have received insignia of their position from the government today. They are all set to assume office today itself.
The government on Tuesday had appointed Sarbendra Khanal as the Inspector General of Nepal Police and Shailendra Khanal as the Inspector General of Armed Police Force.
Home Secretary Prem Kumar Rai conferred the insignia on them amidst a function organised at the Ministry of Home Affairs today.
Meanwhile, Sarbendra and Shailendra will assume their office at headquarters of respective forces in Naxal and Halchok today itself.
Both the organisations had given farewell to their retiring chiefs of Prakash Aryal and Singha Bahadur Shrestha yesterday.
