Kathmandu, February 24
The Finance Committee in the House of Representatives has resumed discussions on the Insurance Bill that the government registered in 2018.
Today, the Committee has called a team of experts to discuss the matter.
It was presented in the Parliament but the discussion had stopped following what is said to be a clash between Finance Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada and Insurance Board Chairman Chiranjibi Chapagain.
The proposed bill if passed will dismiss the Insurance Board. The new Bill also proposes to form a new Insurance Authority in place of the dismissed Board.
