House meeting deferred, PM invites parties for talks on polls, Constitution amendment

Kathmandu, February 21

Prime Minister Prachanda has called an all-party meeting to discuss issues like the government-sponsored Constitution amendment proposal and local elections.

The meetting will take place at the Parliament building in New Baneshwor at 3 pm on Tuesday, PM’s press adviser Govinda Acharya said.

The PM’s move comes after the Parliament put on hold its meeting scheduled for today after quite long time.

PM has invited all parties represented in the Parliament for the meeting. On the occasion, PM will ask respective parties to direct their committees to gear up for elections, now that the government has announced the poll date, a source at the PM’s Secretariat informed.
