Kathmandu, May 4
The Parliament meeting scheduled for Thursday afternoon is likely to fix the date for discussions on the impeachment motion filed against Chief Justice Sushila Karki.
Though main opposition CPN-UML and some other fringe parties have been calling for the withdrawal of the motion, Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar is likely to bring the issue into the discussion, according to a source at the Parliament Secretariat.
Lawmakers of ruling Nepali Congress and CPN-Maoist Centre had filed the impeachment motion against Karki on Sunday.
