Khotang, March 18
A helicopter has crashed in Khotang.
The incident occurred at Balabesi in Khartamcha, Ward-2 of Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality.
According to Chief District Officer Rekha Kandel, the helicopter had flown from Kathmandu carrying a dead body to the village when it crashed.
Kandel said there were no human casualties in the incident.
Chairperson of Kepilasgadhi Rural Municipality, Samir Rai, said the crash happened while attempting to land on the edge of a terraced field. He explained that the helicopter initially tried to land on the field ridge and while lifting off to move toward the middle of the field, the accident occurred.
