Kathmandu, November 6

After the government failed to pay rent for former President Ram Baran Yadav’s residence for last three and half months, the house owner has issued a public notice calling Yadav to leave the house within next 15 days.

Yadav, after completing his term as the first head of state of republican Nepal in 2015, has been residing at the house of Ravi Bhakta Bista in Bagdol, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-4.

Bista has issued a notice in a national newspaper today in the name of Yadav and the President’s Office, calling the tenant to leave the house and the President’s Office to pay the outstanding bills within next two weeks.

He has also warned of legal action upon failure to heed the notice.

Bista has also complained that the rental agreement has expired in mid-July and it has not been renewed yet.

It is the President’s Office’s duty to pay the rent for Yadav.
