The government has felicitated member of the paragliding team that won silver medal at the recently concluded Asian Games in Indonesia.
The government has provided a cash prize of Rs 500,000 to captain Bimal Adhikari, Yukesh Gurung, Sushila Gurung, Bijay Gautam and Bishal Thapa.
The team also took part in a parade in Kathmandu to commemorate the historical feat. They were then ushered to the City Hall, where Sports Minister Jagat Bishwokarma provided the players with the prize.
Minister Bishwokarma said that the win has shown that the government must invest in the sport.
