Kathmandu, June 13
The government has decided to increase the fare of public transport vehicles by 10 to 12 per cent.
The new rates will come into effect from Sunday, June 16.
Department of Transport Management’s Information Officer Tirtha Raj Khanal says the decision was made after a technical committee made the recommendation.
The hike is 10 per cent for some whereas it is 12 per cent for others, according to him.
