Govt fixes hotels to quarantine returnees

Kathmandu, August 21

After making it mandatory for all the Nepalis returning home from various countries amid the Covid-19 crisis to quarantine themselves at a hotel at their own cost for at least seven days, the government has also published a list of the hotels available for quarantine.

Based on their standards, one has to pay Rs 1,500 to Rs 9,000 per day for their stay and food there.

Kathmandu District Administration Office has published the list of hotels, as well as applicable costs, of different standards (five-star, four-star, three-star, two-star, one-star, tourist-standard, small and medium-scale) for those returning home via flights to Kathmandu. The hotels listed are located in Thamel, Tahachal, Gaushala, Airport, Battisputali, Durbarmarg, Sundhara, Gongabu, and Kalanki among other places.
