The government has claimed that the country recorded impressive scores in different economic indicators in past one year, adding political stability has created an investment friendly environment.

Finance Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada says the level of poverty has significantly dropped in the country.

Presenting the economic survey of the fiscal year 2018/19 in Parliament meeting on Monday afternoon, the Minister said, “Electricity is available regularly and local level development is on the rise.”

“Indicators of economic, social and physical infrastructure developments look exciting. The country is heading towards the path of high economic growth triggered by accelerated development.”

The Minister claimed the country recorded an increase in per capita income, gross domestic product and saving capacity this year.

He was of the view that legal and policy reforms made to attract domestic and external investment would ease the growth process.
