Jhapa, September 3

The Armed Police Force (APF) has installed a ‘GoPro Camera’ at Kankarbhitta, the eastern border of Nepal, to enhance surveillance and combat criminal activities.

The initiative, announced by the APF’s No. 2 Battalion Headquarters in Jhapa, aims to gather critical information and improve the transparency and effectiveness of investigations by providing direct evidence in cases of crime. Superintendent Sachin Karmacharya expressed optimism that the two activated cameras will help address issues such as illegal smuggling and theft in the border area.

The proactive use of technology by the armed police has contributed to a heightened sense of security among residents, who are increasingly supportive of the police’s efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.
