Kathmandu, August 11

The Metropolitan Police Range in Kathmandu has arrested a woman for her alleged involvement in the mysterious murder of a man in Gongabu of Kathmandu last weekend.

Locals of Gongabu had found a headless body wrapped in a suitcase on Sunday morning. Later, the investigators had located the man’s head around 300 metres away. The victim and the suspect were identified in the course of investigation on Monday.

Organising a press conference in Kathmandu today, the MPR chief SSP Shyam Lal Gyawali said Kalpana Mudbhari Paudel allegedly killed Krishna Bahadur Bohora. He narrated that the suspect first made Bohora unconscious by giving him five sleeping pills mixing them with curd before strangling him with her shawl and hitting at his private parts with a hammer. After confirming that the victim died, she cut off his head and feet on her own and disposed of the body, it has been learned.

Meanwhile, the suspect has confessed to the crime, saying she was compelled to kill Bohora after he created a fake id on Facebook to post her ‘private photos’, informs SSP Deepak Thapa, the chief of the Metropolitan Crime Division.

Mudbhari Paudel and her daughter were arrested from Tandi of Chitwan on Monday.
