Kathmandu, November 14
Nepal Police says it has arrested five persons including the one who shot dead construction entrepreneur Sharad Kumar Gauchan in Naya Baneshwor of Kathmandu last month.
The investigators have identified the shooter as Rajeev Tamang as Nuwakot.
Police say the mastermind, identified as Samir Man Basnet, is yet to be held.

Gauchan murder: First suspect held after 36 days
Kathmandu, November 14
Police in Kathmandu on Tuesday arrested one person in connection with the broad daylight murder of construction entrepreneur Sharad Kumar Gauchan. Identity of the suspect has not been revealed yet.
Gauchan was murdered in Naya Baneshwor of Kathmandu on October 9. Police had launched a probe into the case immediately; however, they were unable to make any progress till the date.
Police say they will organise a press meet to make the suspect public and share progresses made in the investigation.
Responding to demands of the family and construction fraternity, the government has already decided to declare him a martyr.
