The funeral procession of singer and actor Prashant Tamang is currently underway in Darjeeling. Fans are participating in the procession being held at various locations across the town.
Devotees are offering floral tributes and paying their respects as the vehicle carrying his mortal remains passes by. With the initiative of the GTA government, Tamang’s body was brought from New Delhi to his hometown of Darjeeling earlier this morning.
Following the procession, his body will be kept at the local Chowrasta for final tributes, according to his close friend and fellow artist Rajesh Ghatani. He added that Tamang’s last rites will be performed there later today.
