Former PM Madhav Kumar Nepal’s parked vehicle vandalised in Ramechhap

Kathmandu, July 23

A group of unidentified persons on Saturday night vandalised the vehicle used by former Prime Minister and CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal in Manthali, the Ramechhap district headquarters.

Windows of the four-wheeler (Ba 5 Cha 2750) were found broken this morning.

Nepal was in Manthali to attend a function organised to mark the Pushpalal Memorial Day in Manthali yesterday and had stayed at local Sunkoshi Hotel.

The vehicle belonging to UML leader Hom Bahadur Budhathoki was parked at a nearby bus park.

Meanwhile, police arrested two person–Sagar Kumar Shrestha and Manoj Shrestha–for their alleged involvement in the vandalism. They are Nepali Congress cadres of Ramechhap Bazaar.

The Congress has accused police of arresting its cadres without any reason.
