Pokhara, September 23
Flydubai has started commercial flights from Pokhara Regional International Airport, with its first flight arriving from Dubai on Wednesday carrying 113 passengers.
The Flydubai aircraft landed at the airport with 113 passengers on board. It is scheduled to depart for Dubai with 153 passengers.
The aircraft was given a ceremonial water-cannon welcome after landing at the airport.
Local residents also gathered at the airport to welcome the passengers arriving on the inaugural commercial flight. Relatives and family members of some passengers were also present to receive them.
The launch of Flydubai’s regular service has raised hopes of strengthening international connectivity from Pokhara and increasing the flow of international passengers through the airport.
