Kathmandu, May 18

After encircling Singhadurbar and Baluwatar, the Federal Alliance is making public its new programmes on Wednesday, as part of its movement meant to make the KP Sharma Oli government address its demands. Leaders said the alliance will make the programmes public by organising a meeting on Wednesday.

The alliance is discussing whether to make the movement Kathmandu-centric or return to districts for the stir. If we decide to continue with the Kathmandu-centric movement, we will take the movement to densely-populated areas, a leader said, adding: Otherwise, we will take the stir to district and regional headquarters.

Two weeks ago, the alliance had submitted a 26-point memorandum to the government. Taking exception to provincial demarcation and opposing the constitution promulgated through a popularly-elected Constituent Assembly, the United Democratic Madheshi Front had launched a movement about 10 months ago.

No talks have taken place between three major political parties and agitating parties in the last four months.
