Kathmandu, July 9
The electric crematorium at the Pashupati Aryaghat has failed to function for last few days owing to a technical glitch in the machine.
Pashupati Area Development Trust’s Member-Secretary Govinda Tandan says the PADT has called for some equipment from Kolkata to repair the machine.
However, it will take some eight to 10 days for the machine to resume functioning, he informs.
The electric crematorium was cremating around 10 to 20 bodies every day since its introduction around one and half years ago.
