Efforts on to turn NC-Maoist ruling alliance into consensus government, says Pampha Bhusal

Bhaktapur, August 10

Pampha Bhusal, spokesperson for CPN-Maoist Centre, said on Wednesday the Prachanda-led government will implement good programmes that the KP Oli-led government had launched.

Bhusal said this during a face-to-face that Rafat Sanchar Club had organised in Bhaktapur. She said: Prime Minister Oli introduced its policies and programmes in consultation with our party. So we will ‘give continuity to good policies and programmes’, the Maoist leader said.

Our Maoist party was also a part of the Oli-led government, Bhusal said, adding that the Prachanda government will give Oli government’s policies and programmes ‘full shape’.

She said efforts are on to turn the NC-Centre ruling coalition into a national consensus government.

There’s no dispute in the Maoist party fold over expansion of the Cabinet, Bhusal said: There have been delays in Cabinet expansion as the NC-aligned Nepal Students’ Union is busy organising its general convention.

She said the Cabinet will get complete shape sooner than later.

Taking the peace process to a logical conclusion, speeding up post-quake reconstruction work, addressing the Madhesh Movement, implementing the Constitution and holding elections — local, provincial and federal — are the major objectives of the government, Bhusal said.
