Drivers killed as trucks collide in Nawalpur

Two trucks collide head-on in Dumkauli of Nawalpur (East Nawalparasi) along the East-West Highway at around midnight on Monday, March 1, 2021.

Two persons have died when two trucks collided head-on in Dumkauli of Nawalpur (East Nawalparasi) along the East-West Highway at around midnight on Monday.

Two other people have sustained critical injuries.

The victims have been identified as Khim Bahadur BK (51), a permanent resident of Pokhara metropolitan city-15 of Kaski, and Raj Kumar Neupane (35), a resident of Makawanpurgadhi rural municipality of Makawanpur, informs the Rajahar Area Police Office. BK wand Khadka were driving the vehicles that collided (Na 6 Kha 3011 and Na 7 Kha 7023) respectively.

Seriously injured in the accident, the drivers of both vehicles had breathed their last during treatment at the District Hospital in Danda in the wee hours today.

Their assistants, Bishwash Shahi and Sundar Khadka, are critically injured and are undergoing treatment at Purano Medical College in Chitwan.
