Janakpurdham, February 16
A woman has been found dead in Kamala municipality of Dhanusha district on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s husband is on the run, hence police have suspected a foul play.
The suspect has been identified as Sangita Devi Gaderi Raut, who appears to be in her mid-30s, a resident of Machijhitkaiya, Kamala-2, according to police.
Raut’s body, with some bruises on her neck, was found at a paddy field near her house this morning, informs Police Inspector Hitendra Rokaya at Khajuri Area Police Post.
Police have launched a manhunt to nab the absconding husband, Khusi Lal. Raut is said to be his second wife.
The deceased’s body has been sent to the Janakpurdham Provincial Hospital for post-mortem whereas further investigation is underway.
