Hanshpur municipality deputy mayor’s SUV has run over a 14-month-old baby in Hansapur municipality in Dhanusha on Sunday, killing the infant on the spot.
The SUV, mostly used by Durga Devi Mandal of Dhanusha’s Hanshpur municipality, ran over Laxmi Niya Kumari.
Dhanusha Police Spokesperson Bed Prasad Gautam informs that the girl was crushed and died on the spot when the SUV was reversing outside the baby’s home on Sunday afternoon.
The SUV and its driver Dipendra Kumar Raya have been taken under police custody.
