Janakpurdham, February 12
Two persons have been arrested on the charge of repeatedly raping a minor in Dhanusha of southeastern Nepal.
The suspects have been identified as Muskan Khatun and Om Narayan Yadav aka Shambhu. Whereas Khatun has been accused of employing a 13-year-old girl in sex work, Yadav had raped the girl under the protection of Khatun, according to police.
The victim’s family had learned about the crime after the suspect was impregnated by Yadav. Then, they had filed a complaint at the police.
The District Police Office Spokesperson Makendra Kumar Mishra says both were arrested in Laxminiya rural municipality-4 of the district last night.
Further investigation is underway.
