Kathmandu, September 6

Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that he would take action against leaders and cadres of the party who worked against the own party. If any leader tries to stop him, he warns that he would expose their names in the public.

Speaking at a function organised by the party’s Policy and Training Academy in Bhaktapur on Friday, Deuba said the party would lose another election also if it could not punish those who worked against the party. He also complained that the unity in the party could not be effective.

In another context, Deuba criticised the government and the ruling Nepal Communist Party claiming they tried to make states’ police force and bureaucracy faithful to the party.

“It is natural that the governments change, but trying to change the system is not something simple,” he said, adding his party would fight against the communist party’s effort to practise authoritarianism.
