Dadeldhura, November 19
Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba says his own party will lead the new government to be formed after the House of Representative polls scheduled for November 26 and December 7.
He says the decision of leftist parties to form an alliance against the Nepali Congress does not affect his party’s likelihood of victory.
Speaking at a press meet organised by Nepal Press Union in Dadeldhura today, Deuba also made it clear that elections would not get postponed despite some reports of violent incidents during pre-poll campaigning.
Earlier, he said the government would take action against those involved in anti-election activities, assuring that attacks on the candidates would not repeat.
