Kathmandu, August 5

The main opposition party Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba has accused the current government of making people hopeless with its activities. He claims that most activities of the current government are against the constitution and people’s sentiments.

The former prime minister says he is concerned about the fate of the federal democratic republic in the country as such activities would jeopardise the system.

Speaking at a function in Kathmandu on Thursday, Deuba listed a few bills brought by the government such as the Bill on National Human Rights Commission, the Media Council Bill, the Guthi Bill, and the National Security Bill and said they were against sentiments of people.

The leader said everyone should keep an eye on the government to make sure that it was implementing the constitution. He said the government should take initiatives for social and economic justice.
