Day II bandh: Police, RJPN cadres clash in Gaur

On the second day of three-day general strike called by the Rastriya Janata Party Nepal, police and bandh enforcers had a clash in Gaur of Rautahat district.

A police constable has been injured in the incident. The name of the injured is yet to be revealed.

The clash had ensued when the demonstrators vandalised a van with an Indian registration number being used by police.

The bandh enforcers also vandalised a passenger bus (Na 3 Kha 5622).

Meanwhile, police arrested three RJPN cadres after the clash. Rameshwor Yadav, Kamalesh Sinha and Bachcha Yadav have been taken to the custody of District Police Office.

Police have tightened the security following the tension.

The RJPN has called the three-day bandh beginning yesterday protesting preparations for the second phase of local level elections scheduled for June 28.
