CPN-Maoist Centre to help annual budget sail through Nepal House

Kathmandu, July 13

Though out of the KP Oli-led ruling coalition, the CPN-Maoist Centre has decided to help with passage of the annual budget.

The Centre’s Parliamentary Party meeting held at the Parliament building on Wednesday decided not to obstruct passage of the budget for the fiscal 2073-74 BS.

Maoist-Center FlagMaoist leader Giri Raj Mani Pokharel told Onlinekhabar: We have tabled a no-confidence motion (against this government). We will let (the House) pass the budget, but we have decided to hold high-level talks with the CPN-UML before that.

The main opposition Nepali Congress and the Centre tabled a no-confidence motion against the government in the Parliament on Wednesday.

According to Congress whip Ishwori Neupane, 254 lawmakers have signed on the motion.
