The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority on Monday arrested two people with one million rupees they were offering to a CIAA investigation officer.
CIAA caught hold of Chhiring Wangdel Sherpa, management committee chair of Jorpati-based Buddha Academy Boarding School, and Sonam Singh Sherpa, chair of Nepal Himali Bouddha Sangh, while they were offering bribe to the investigator
The CIAA caught hold of Chhiring Wangdel Sherpa, management committee chair of Jorpati-based Buddha Academy Boarding School, and Sonam Singh Sherpa, chair of Nepal Himali Bouddha Sangh, while they were offering the bribe to the CIAA investigator.
According to the CIAA, the two had offered bribe to the investigating officer in a bid to stop the probe into irregularities in the academy.
The anti-corruption watchdog has been conducting a probe after receiving a complaint about alleged irregularities to the tune of lakhs of rupees in the academy. As per the complaint, irregularities take place at the academy right from the student admission process.
