Chitwan, June 9
One person died whereas another sustained injuries when a motorbike fell off the road in Sunkhani, Kalika municipality-9 of the Chitwan district in southern Nepal on Sunday night.
The victim has been identified as Hasta Maya Magar (60), a resident of Ichchhakamana municipality-2 of the district, informs the District Police Office spokesperson Surya Bahadur Thapa. She was riding pillion on the motorbike ridden by her son 35-year-old Phatte Bahadur Magar, a resident of Ratnanagar municipality-11 of the district.
In the accident that occurred at around 10 pm yesterday, the two-wheeler (Na 36 Pa 2199) fell around 50 metres down the road.
While the mother died on the spot, her son sustained injuries in both legs, hands and back. He is undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College.
