Bhaktapur, May 24
Changunarayan Municipality has been declared ‘Yoganagar’ today. Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Indra Bahadur Baniya read out the declaration terming Changunarayan as ‘Yoganagar’ at a program organised by the municipality today.
On the occasion, Minister for Culture and Tourism of Bagmati Province Suresh Shrestha expressed confidence that the declaration of Yoganagar will add a new dimension to Changunarayan’s tourism development.
Mayor of Changunarayan, Jeevan Khatri, said that the municipality has prioritised yoga for the health, positive thinking and prosperity of the residents of Changunarayan. Federal MP Guru Baral, National Chair of Patanjali Yoga Committee, Nepal Sudarshan Subedi, Bagmati Province Ministry of Health, Expert Member of Provincial Yoga Committee, Nawaraj Kafle, Chair of Yoga District Coordination Committee, Bhaktapur, Bijendra Dhavani, among others, highlighted the importance of yoga.
